Bloom Energy Fuel Cell Manufacturing Facility
Newark, DE

Project Description:

TN Ward constructed the 200,000 SF fuel cell manufacturing and testing plant at the University of Delaware STAR Campus. This was an extremely fast track project — the facility was functionally operational within five months of groundbreaking and the entire facility was finished within seven months. Utilities infrastructure included 19 miles of under slab conduit and four miles of under slab piping planned and executed with BIM technology.

We recently performed a 40,000 SF facility expansion and plant upgrade that included a new 25,000 SF mezzanine floor addition above the manufacturing floor, expansion of loading dock and reconfiguration of materials handling and assembly areas on the manufacturing floor.
