TN Ward Company (TNW) understands the importance of creating opportunities for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms and providing jobs for local community residents who wish to participate in the construction process. In fact, TNW attempts to exceed goals targeted by Owners. TNW maintains a database of prequalified minority-owned (MBE), women-owned (WBE) and other disadvantaged companies. We periodically update this resource with new firms.

TNW assists Owners with development of MBE / WBE/ DBE compliance strategies that fulfill Project goals for materials procurement and trade contract participation. We target trades and subcontractors that best match the available capabilities of MBE / WBE / DBE firms. Contract value is also matched to individual company capacity to perform to ensure mutual success. TNW maintains and monitors MBE /WBE/ DBE contracts and workforce employment to ensure achievement of stated goals.

TN Ward engages in specific activities to achieve goals and objectives. We will survey MBE /WBE/ DBE firms to ascertain qualification, interest and capabilities for performing specific types of work that will be required, as well as providing goods and services to the project. TNW presents project participation goals to community groups, trade associations, business agents, building trades executives and government agencies to encourage MBE /WBE /DBE participation and EEO goals.
