Project Description:
This two-story, 75,000 SF retrofit of former Bell Atlantic/Verizon concrete frame building was designed to accommodate the Conshohocken Police Department and Code Officials, YMCA regional offices and commercial tenants. A 25,000 SF parking level was constructed below the building on a sloped site. Police Department space includes a sally port, processing & interrogation rooms and four jail holding cells, plus access control & security system requiring extensive coordination with police officials. Over 300 linear feet of retaining wall was built within a tight site during restricted work hours adjacent to residences.
