ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Job Description:  TN Ward Company is looking for Administrative Assistants to join our Ardmore, Pennsylvania and Atlantic City, New Jersey offices.  In this role, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our offices a positive, welcoming, and productive environment.  You’ll also get the chance to interact with all levels of staff and various customers and clients.  This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position for a commercial building construction company.  Our company produces projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.  Benefits offered include PTO, Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), and Profit Sharing.

Skills:  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic accounting, and proofreading.  A working knowledge of Outlook a plus.  A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint primarily used).  Attention to details, management of tight time schedules, organizational skills, and working with others is paramount to success.  Ability to work with downloading and uploading documents to different bidding software, if needed.  Placing phone calls and emails to bidders as a follow-up to emailed communications. We are willing to train the right candidate on all other systems currently in use. 

Responsibilities:  You will be supporting the offices (from the upper management through to interns) with daily tasks such as answering phones, copying documents, filing, processing mail (incoming and outgoing), Federal Express packages, greeting visitors, setting up lunch and learn sessions, and other functions as needed. 

Qualifications:  Previous office administration and construction office experience perferred.

CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR

Job Description: This role is a full-time, salaried, exempt position for a commercial building construction company. Our company produces projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. This position will be based out of our Ardmore, Pennsylvania office. Benefits offered include PTO, Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), and Profit Sharing.

Responsibilities: Preparing budgetary, conceptual and competitive bid estimates for commercial construction projects while maintaining a proper balance between the profitability of the company and the achievement of total customer satisfaction. Provide estimating services that consist of labor and material quantity take-offs as required. Perform Carpentry and Drywall takeoffs for self-performed trade work. Perform pre-construction services. Develop and/or understands the full parameters of the project scope. Perform bidding and estimating project lead tasks and present estimates to clients. Attend pre-bid and de-scope meetings with clients. Develop a basis of scope for bidding and estimating purposes. Qualify all estimates and bids relative to scope. Review Change Orders and negotiate with Owners, Architects and Subcontractors. Develop project logistics and assist with planning and scheduling the work. Manage workloads according to department deadlines, commitments, and priorities. Foster positive relationships with internal and exterior customers, subcontractors, and design professionals. Assist in value engineering and constructability analysis.

Qualifications: 2-10 years of experience in Commercial Building Construction Market preferred. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture strongly preferred.  Past experience working with general contractors or construction managers is preferred. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required. Outstanding time management, organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills required. Proficient knowledge of estimating processes, technology, and related industry trends. Comprehensive understanding of trades, scopes, timelines, and scheduling/sequencing of work. Marketing experience is a plus. Experience with Hotel and Entertainment venues is preferred.

PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities: TN Ward Company is looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant to:

  • Process weekly salary and hourly payroll for all office and field employees ensuring accuracy and timeliness of employees’ pay.
  • Submit all remittances for tax, benefits, garnishments in accordance with regulatory deadlines.
  • Maintain employee records
  • Audit and tax reporting.
  • Responds to inquiries.
  • Perform incidental payroll functions.
  • Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of information and reports used within the organization.
  • Reviews and approves payroll deductions, garnishments, etc.
  • Interprets company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.
  • Assist Operations teams with billing by compiling billing backup

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 2-5 years payroll accounting experience.
  • Self-starter with positive attitude and ability to work against deadlines.
  • Analytical and technical skills a must.
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities and tasks.

PROJECT MANAGER

Job Description: This role is a full-time, salaried, exempt position for a commercial building construction company. Our company produces projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. This position will be based out of our Ardmore, Pennsylvania and Atlantic City, New Jersey offices as well as our job site in Bristol, Virginia. Benefits offered include PTO, Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), and Profit Sharing.

Skills: Our team uses Plan Grid, Procore, and Microsoft Project as the primary document management and project management tool, along with other technology such as eCMS, Microsoft Office, and others. We are willing to train the right candidate and prior experience is preferred. Attention to details, management of tight time schedules, working collaborative, and understand of budgets is paramount to success. Past successful candidates have been graduates of a four-year program in Construction Management. A working knowledge of basic accounting, engineering, and project management are crucial to meeting the minimum requirements.

Responsibilities: You will be supporting a Project Team with daily tasks such as management of documents, assistance with purchasing and procurement, recording job meeting minutes, reviewing and processing shop drawings, processing building and utility permit applications, and other ongoing project tasks.

Qualifications: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture strongly preferred. Prefer candidates with past experience working with general contractors or construction managers. Building modeling is a plus.
