Richards Medical Research Building ‒ Phase III Renovations

Project Description:

TN Ward Company renovated 43,000 SF within the interconnected A & B Towers of the historic Richards Building, designed by renowned architect Louis I. Kahn. The scope included converting seven (7) floors within each Tower from wet bench research laboratories to “dry” research program space and replacing MEP/FP systems throughout the renovated space and within the mechanical penthouse in the adjoining C Tower. Additional work included complete glazing replacement and exterior masonry repairs. The original scope was expanded to include an elevator modernization.
