Project Description:

The 60,000 SF, three-story facility located on North Broad Street is the new home of the Laborers’ District Council’s Training and Learning Center. Named for Samuel Staten, Jr., the Business Manager of Laborers’ International Union of North America Local 332, the new building’s primary function is to provide an environment for training construction laborers in general building, heavy and highway, environmental abatement, utility, trade show and maintenance, along with future technology. Also housed within the LEED Gold® certified facility will be a Community Learning Center, operated in conjunction with Temple University, whose mission will be to better the community with first-class job training and first-class basic education and life skill training.
