The Apartments at Henry Avenue

Project Description:

This five-phase construction project was an adaptive reuse of the former Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute site in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia. A 56,090 SF renovation of the existing, four-story, masonry Terrace Building provides 49 apartment units (32 one-bedroom apartments and 17 efficiency units) for seniors on three floors. A 56,437 SF renovation and 18,338 SF of new construction spanned three floors of the Pavilion Apartments to accommodate 36 senior apartments (16 one-bedroom and 20 efficiency units). The project also included a new 15,000 SF LIFE Center with food service, community gardens and commercial tenant space.
