Project Description:
TN Ward provided project and construction management services for the retrofit installation of a SCR System for removal of nitrous oxide at the 26 MW Simple Cycle West Station power plant. The SCR System provides automated control of temperature, air pressure, ammonia injection and sequence of operations from a remote control station. The project scope included replacing existing electrical switchgear, utility service upgrades, building modifications and construction of the SCR System including the foundations, exhaust blowers and duct, catalyst, stack, ammonia storage and distribution facility and control network. The project work area was surrounded by active rail lines, a substation and power plant operations requiring a well planned and executed construction sequence.
